Marquese Chriss is an athletic, 6’9 big – Chriss can spring up for oops, roll back for jumpers (3-pt. range) and rotate on D; nice base as a shooter – Marquese has an easy release, able to get clean looks after screening; improved faceup & short hook game, learning which shots to take within the flow of games; decent defender – sends back shots but fouls a ton, can struggle w/ situational awareness – better suited protecting the paint; doesn’t back down from anyone, which is good – however, Chriss needs to pick his battles, stay engaged at all times; far from a finished product; landed back w/ Rockets (2022) – offers nice athleticism & experience to Stephen Silas’s group
