NBA ROLE: (RAW) SKILLED, INSIDE-OUT BIG
Marko Simonović: Montenegrin big developing in Chicago’s pipeline*; trends more towards a throwback style, though he’s in the process of evolving his shooting/playmaking - currently though, Marko prefers crashing the glass and making things happen in the interior; emerging option with his back to the rim, has worked on a couple of go-to moves (short hooks & Js); can tally HUGE rebounding numbers when motivated good outside form, shoots more like a guard (off the hop) - working on accuracy and situational awareness; could make a name as a roll finisher and rebounder to start out; must find defensive specialty, whether as a shot-blocker or post defender; should pick up some mid-post tricks learning under Nikola Vucevic; might not join the rotation for another year or so - Simonović is gradually gaining confidence in G League w/ Windy City Bulls - learning some of the intricacies of the game is important as he bulks up and further adjusts to the physicality
