NBA ROLE: ATHLETIC, DEFENSIVE-MINDED WING

 

Malcolm Hill figures to be a nice fit w/ the Bulls: former Illini great on a 2Way contract; ideally suited as a 3&D wing - Hill’s a really solid pull-up shooter, likes to escape and rise for Js or knock down open three balls (likes shooting from angles); great defender, stands out when inserted in the game for limited minutes - very active, frustrates his man by crowding their air space - even more PT would aid him in cutting down on fouls/locking up different, star scorers; fundamental w/ very quick hands - extends arms in passing lanes and looks to snatch the ball away from any loose handle; strong rebounder on the wing; three-point shot could create a ticket into the rotation, defensive acumen/consistency will keep him there; landed in Chicago after bouncing around w/ a few teams during ’21-’22 - unsung rotation threat for Coach Donovan in 2023?
