Evan Mobley is legitimately one of a kind: new age, wiry big w/ unique fundamentals; immeasurable impact defensively - Mobley has the uncanny ability to stick every position w/ effectiveness, does an excellent job at contesting (with his hands up) without fouling; regularly disrupts routine action as a perimeter defender & rim protector - consistently challenges long jumpers, has great timing and moves well laterally; great understanding of defensive positioning, adaptable as a solo rim protector and perimeter stopper in CLE’s three-big sets; incredible tools offensively: slender frame w/ impressive ability to handle and exploit matches in space; great passer on the move, very patient looking for action on the elbow; can truly operate from outside the arc and inside the paint: Mobley likes to play big, takes power dribbles, rips down the rim w/ a two-handed jam after leveraging body to make space (doesn’t give ground to larger players); improving outside shooter - good base w/ a high release point, will ease into higher volume as he gains confidence; takes long strides towards the basket with swing thrus, has a variety of short jumpers & floaters in the lane (great timing and touch); multi-option scorer off screens: can dominate as a roll man or step out w/ his J*; reat rebounder, actively pursues the ball (nightly) double-double threat; no glaring weaknesses, not many prospects like him in terms of physical makeup, basketball IQ and advanced skill; incredible young core w/ Darius Garland, (fellow Watch DOG) Jarrett Allen, and Donovan Mitchell; All-NBA/DIFFERENT BREED upside - Mobley’s one of the league’s future stars w/ an instant impact on winning basketball in Cleveland
