The 10th overall selection in 2017, Zach Collins fits right in as a versatile center; provides something of note on both sides – real promise as a help side shot blocker, real promise as a shooter (range on his jumper, projects as a reliable stretch big); bit of an old-school flavor: invites contact down low, can shoot but likes to bang & get buckets inside – adding strength will greatly aid his efforts; raw tools from midrange: Collins can make turnarounds or drive by his man after faking the shot; tough, though needs to board better + learn to defend quicker and/or stronger players without fouling; traded to Bulls (2025): underrated production, good rebounder and frontcourt scorer for Coach Donovan
