Undrafted in 2018, Yante Maten is an active forward/capable finisher around the rim; coring profile: shooter/driver - takes advantage of broken plays/secondary opps; converts quick dump offs, able to soak up contact and get off clean looks; doesn’t have best aesthetics on J but can knock em down; not super polished down low but likes to post & seal, uses strength for positioning - needs to perfect a couple go-to turnarounds/hooks; plus defender up front? Maten’s a bit undersized at the 4; shooting OTD & playmaking both need to improve; aggressive, banking on physicality for success in league?; HEAT develop talent well - Maten landed in the right spot to learn, get better & eventually contribute
