Ricky Rubio was born to assist – he can roll out of the bed and throw at least 20-25 (naturally gifted) ‘basketball plays’ every single night; snazzy, Spanish floor general w/ exceptional court vision (eyes in the back of his head) – perfect guard to lead the break, throw lobs & create easy scoring opportunities in transition – does a great job of reading plays before they actually happen; confident midrange scorer: strong arsenal of Js off the dribble (one-legged fadeaways, pull-ups), crafty around the rim; very good defender: uses size, anticipation and quick hands to get stops/create turnovers; much improved shooter from deep – Rubio takes his time, converts around a 37% clip these days; re-signed w/ Cavs (2022) – productive veteran playmaker, leads by example – top notch backup behind Darius Garland
