A former UNLV Runnin’ Rebel, Khem Birch is an active, second unit big whose energy leads way to defensive stops & changes of possession; nice anticipation*, rotates well to the correct areas; put back specialist - Birch times misses & throws down flushes w/ two; good hands, finishes dump offs - recipient of paint catches, has a couple of short hooks to lean on; not much of an outside game (midrange set shot is more of a go-to), knows his job is to maintain activity and stay alert around the rim; dealt to San Antonio (2023) - strong defense/rim protection should lead to a favored role under Coach Pop
