Pepperdine’s Kessler Edwards fills a need in the NBA - energetic 3&D wing w/ bounce* - doesn’t let up until he makes an impact; very good athlete - uses jumping ability to get nice elevation on threes (pops up without much space) and dunks; projects as a high-volume outside shooter - solid mechanics, likes launching at angles & from the short corner, should aim for 37-38% as a benchmark his 1st couple of seasons; talented defender who makes multiple efforts - not afraid to get dirty, Edwards can stick with his man around screens + works to limit dribble penetration; acquired by Kings at the 2023 trade deadline: development as a shot creator and keying in on aggressive, efficient performances is important in limited playing time
