NBA ROLE: SCORING COMBO GUARD

 

A former Pac-12 Player of the Year, Jaylen Nowell has a penchant for putting up buckets; lots of positive attributes as a scoring guard: Nowell’s a talented pull-up scorer w/ the ability to convert from midrange & downtown; game features variety of escape moves - tight handle allows for clean looks inside & out the arc; solid playmaker, better served defending PGs?; efficiency is a huge plus, though shot selection can be an issue at times: in general, Nowell doesn’t need a ton of time or shots to make a difference in the scoring column; pretty underrated player overall; important, upcoming 5th season for Nowell in Minnesota: go-to, second-unit scorer for Coach Finch in 2024?
