A former AP Player of the Year at Michigan State, Denzel Valentine can play both wing spots, passes well – can also handle and create floaters* for himself, hits open shooters; free flowing from downtown (can struggle with shot selection) – heat-check triples are second nature; good rebounder, plays a lot of 3 despite being listed at 6’4; needs to develop a better understanding of team defense (not a natural athlete) & up overall scoring efficiency to maximize opportunities; oft-injured lately – when healthy, Valentine adds some depth & low-usage playmaking to Quin Snyderf’s group
